Information on the impact of the government shutdown on CalFresh (SNAP) benefits
Basic Needs provides valuable resources to help students address food, housing, and/or financial insecurity. Although the definition of "basic needs" varies across institutions, the reality is hunger and homelessness now affect all individuals, including college students.
Available to all Stan State students who are currently enrolled.
Basic Needs Coordinators can assist you in applying for the CalFresh food benefits program.
Students are able to come once a week to get 10 items at no-cost.
Students can get a free food box twice a month at the Turlock Campus.
Experiencing a crisis or difficult situation? See if you qualify for an emergency grant and apply.
Find assistance in navigating housing resources such as potential temporary housing available to students.
Use this list of resources available in your community to identify organizations that may be able to offer you additional resources and assistance.
